Ken Meierling, License Partner and Broker of Engel & Völkers Jupiter was born and raised in Germany. After attending a prominent business school in London, Mr. Meierling spent 15 years in corporate finance and business development as an advisor to multinational corporations on mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Meierlings experience has taken him all over the world from New York to Hong Kong to London to Germany. He is fluent in German, English and French.
A successful investment banker, Mr. Meierling decided to pursue a new challenge in 2007 and relocated to Jupiter, Florida where he opened the first Engel & Völkers property shop on the east coast of the Sunshine State. His accomplishments in structuring multi-million dollar takeovers, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as living and working abroad for many years, allow him a global perspective and provide valuable business acumen.
Just like many other things that originated in Germany, Mr. Meierling has a strong reputation for quality, careful structure and a methodical approach to getting the job done right. He particularly takes joy in structuring deals and loves a good challenge.
Mr. Meierling has successfully negotiated the sales of multi-million dollar properties, including the recent sale of the highest priced residential property on Jupiter Island in Florida for $38 million. This privately marketed sale was closed within seven months.
In 2012, Mr. Meierling was retained on an exclusive basis by Rockwood Capital to manage the divestiture of one of its portfolio holdings, the prominent Hobe Sound Polo Club. Located north of Bridge Road in Martin County, the Hobe Sound Polo Club is a 50-unit, 20-acre home lot equestrian community totaling approximately 1,757 acres. Valued at over $30 million, the property successfully changed ownership in September 2013.
Mr. Meierling was recently named one of the Top Ten Advisor for Engel & Völkers worldwide, where he joins an esteemed group of seasoned real estate professionals. He is also a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and holds the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation. His previous success in business and his insights in the international luxury real estate markets uniquely position him to connect extraordinary people with extraordinary lifestyles.
Mr. Meierling is happily married and is thankful to call Florida his home. His wife Kandyce shares his passion for fine real estate and manages the Jupiter property shop. Mr. Meierling enjoys playing golf and has played for many years. He is an avid runner, and competes in half-marathons and marathons. He takes great satisfaction in good food, and is known to experiment with his cooking by smoking his own bacon and fish and other tasty treats.
